Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between pages mode and extract mode?
Pages mode renders each whole page as a flat JPG (text and graphics combined). Extract mode pulls only the embedded photos and images out of the PDF and ignores the text.
How high is the output resolution?
Pages are rendered at a high DPI suitable for printing, presentations, and on-screen use. In extract mode, embedded images keep their native resolution.
Can I convert multiple PDFs at once?
Yes. Batch processing is available with a free account - up to 3 files at once, 80 MB per file and 120 MB total. Single file conversions work without signing in (up to 80 MB).
What format do I get back?
Pages mode returns standard .jpg files, delivered as a ZIP when there is more than one image. Extract mode returns each embedded image in its original format, so a PDF with embedded PNGs gives you PNG files back. If you need to force PNG output from any image, use our Convert to JPG tool.
Are my files kept private?
Yes. Uploads happen over HTTPS, files are not shared, and they are deleted from our servers shortly after the conversion finishes.
Can I import from Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive?
Yes. Use the cloud buttons on the upload screen to pull files in directly. No need to download to your device first.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. The converter runs in any modern browser on phone, tablet, or desktop. There is no app to install.
Can I rebuild a PDF from the JPGs later?
Yes. Send the JPGs into JPG to PDF and combine them back into a single document in any order you want.
