Yes. In both modes the text is real, editable text in text boxes, not a picture of the page. You can change words, move boxes, swap photos and apply your own design in PowerPoint.

With Layout, text and photos keep their position, fonts and colours. Lines, table borders, shapes and charts that are drawn as vector graphics aren't copied, so pages built mostly from shapes or diagrams may need touching up in PowerPoint. If you need a page to look exactly the same but don't need to edit it, insert it as a picture instead: convert it with PDF to JPG.

Yes. Choose Editable Text: pages without selectable text are read with OCR and turned into slide text. OCR works best on clear, printed text in Latin script. In Layout mode a scanned page comes through as a picture, because it has no text to rebuild.

To bring the PDF's content in as slides you can edit, convert it here and open the .pptx in PowerPoint; you can then copy the slides into another deck with Reuse Slides or copy and paste. To show a page as a picture, convert it with PDF to JPG and use Insert > Pictures.

No generative AI is involved. Your PDF's own text is placed on the slides, so nothing is invented or rewritten. Scanned pages are read with OCR.

Yes. In Layout mode, photos are taken out of the PDF at their original resolution and placed on the slide, not re-rendered at a lower quality.

In Layout mode the slides take the size of your PDF's pages, so an A4 portrait document gives A4 portrait slides. Editable Text uses standard 16:9 widescreen slides on a dark theme, which you can change under the Design tab in PowerPoint.

Yes, if you know the password. The file is marked as locked when you add it; enter the password once and the conversion continues. Passwords are never cracked or bypassed.

With a free account you can convert up to 3 PDFs at once (40 MB each, 120 MB in total). Each becomes its own PowerPoint file, downloaded together.
