Open the result in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Apple Numbers, or LibreOffice Calc - edit cells, sort, filter, or add formulas.
5
Download your spreadsheet, save it back to the cloud, or send it straight into another tool like Excel to PDF.

Why use our PDF to Excel converter

Smart table detection
Our engine finds tables across every page and rebuilds them as proper rows and columns in your spreadsheet.
Editable .xlsx output
Real cells with real values - not a flat image. Sort, filter, and add formulas right after opening.
Headers preserved
Column titles and row labels carry over so you can identify your data immediately.
Multi-page tables
Tables that span several pages are stitched together correctly in the final spreadsheet.
Numbers stay numbers
Currencies, percentages, and dates are detected as numeric values, ready for calculations and pivot tables.
Built-in OCR
Scanned PDFs and photos are handled automatically. Pick from multiple OCR languages for the best text recognition.
Batch processing
With a free account, convert up to 4 PDFs at once (200 MB total). Each becomes its own .xlsx file.
Cloud import
Pull files from Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive without a local download step.
Workflow Ready
Send the resulting spreadsheet straight into Excel to PDF, Merge, or any other tool without re-uploading.
Private and secure
Files are processed over HTTPS and deleted from our servers shortly after conversion.
Free, no watermark
No watermark on cells, no signup needed for single jobs, no per-day cap on conversions.

Frequently asked questions

Will my tables be extracted accurately?
Yes for clean, text-based PDFs. The engine detects rows, columns, headers, and merged cells, and rebuilds the structure in Excel. Complex layouts may need light cleanup.
Can I convert scanned PDFs to Excel?
Yes. OCR is built in - if your PDF is a scan or photo, we automatically recognise the text and rebuild the tables. You can pick the OCR language before converting for the best accuracy.
What about tables that span multiple pages?
Multi-page tables are detected and stitched together as one continuous sheet in your output, with the same column structure across pages.
Will headers and formatting come through?
Column headers and basic formatting (bold, alignment, number types) are preserved. Colours and styling are kept where the layout is clearly a table.
What file format do I get?
A standard .xlsx file. It opens in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Apple Numbers, and LibreOffice Calc with full editing support.
Can I edit cells and add formulas after?
Yes. The output is a fully editable spreadsheet - cells contain real values, so you can sort, filter, pivot, and add formulas as normal.
Can I convert multiple PDFs at once?
Yes. Batch processing is available with a free account - up to 3 files at once, 100 MB total. Single file conversions work without signing in (up to 80 MB).
Can I import from Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive?
Yes. Use the cloud buttons on the upload screen to pull files in directly. No need to download them to your device first.
Are my files kept private?
Yes. Uploads happen over HTTPS, files are not shared, and they are deleted from our servers shortly after the conversion finishes.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. The converter runs in any modern browser on phone, tablet, or desktop. There is no app to install.
