How do I tailor my CV to a job description?
Paste the job description, or a link to the job ad, before optimizing. You see a keyword match: which keywords are already in your CV and which are missing. Optimizing then works the missing ones in where they genuinely fit.
Is this an ATS resume checker?
It checks your CV's keywords against the job description and shows a match percentage, plus the keywords to add. That's a practical guide, not an official ATS score: every employer's applicant tracking system works a little differently.
What makes a CV ATS-friendly?
A simple layout with clear headings, standard section names such as Experience and Education, real text rather than images, and the keywords from the job ad. The optimized CV follows these rules in every template.
Which templates can I choose?
Classic, Modern, Minimal and Sidebar. Each keeps your photo, if your CV has one, and reuses its main accent colour, so the result still feels like yours.
Will my CV stay in my language?
Yes. The CV is rewritten in the language it's written in, and the section headings follow that language. To change the language of a CV, write or paste it in the language you want first.
Should I check the optimized CV before sending it?
Always. AI can phrase achievements more strongly than you would. Read every line and make sure each number, date and claim is true before you apply.
Can I upload a Word CV?
Yes. PDF, DOCX and older DOC files are accepted. You can also paste the text of your CV if you don't have a file.
Can I edit the CV after optimizing?
The result is a PDF. To change wording, open it in Editly, or turn it into a Word document with PDF to Word.
Can I create a CV from scratch?
Paste your details as plain text, such as your experience, education and skills, and the AI turns them into a structured CV in the template you choose.
What if my file isn't a CV?
If the document doesn't look like a CV or resume, you'll be asked to check it first; you can still optimize it anyway.
