How to redact a PDF

Upload your PDF from your device, or pull it directly from Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive. Without an account you can redact one file up to 80 MB. With a free account you can redact up to 3 files at once - 80 MB each, 120 MB in total.

Click and drag anywhere on a page to draw a black box over what you want to redact - text, an image, a signature, or a whole section. Drag a box to reposition it, pull its handles to resize, or click the × to delete - and undo any change while you work.

Add as many redactions as you need, on any page. The black boxes are a preview - the underlying content is still in the file at this stage.

Click Redact PDF to apply. The content under every box is permanently stripped from the document - not just covered. Even copy-paste and text search will turn up nothing.

Download your redacted PDF (or a ZIP when you redact several), save it back to the cloud, or send it straight into another tool like Merge or Sign.

Come oscurare dati sensibili o nomi in un PDF?

Copri con i riquadri nomi, codici fiscali, IBAN o indirizzi e applica. Se compaiono nello stesso punto di ogni pagina, disegna il riquadro una volta e applicalo a tutte le pagine.

L’oscuramento è definitivo?

Sì. Testo, immagini e disegni sotto ogni riquadro vengono eliminati dal file, non solo nascosti da una forma: non si possono copiare, cercare né scoprire spostando il riquadro. Vengono tolti anche i campi modulo sottostanti e svuotati i metadati come autore e titolo.

Perché un rettangolo nero non basta?

Una forma disegnata sopra copre il testo solo alla vista; le parole sotto si possono ancora selezionare, copiare o trovare con la ricerca. Un vero oscuramento, come questo, le cancella dal file.

Posso usare un colore diverso dal nero?

Sì. I riquadri possono essere neri, bianchi, grigi o rossi. Il bianco serve se vuoi che la zona eliminata si confonda con la pagina.

Posso spostare, ridimensionare o annullare un riquadro?

Sì. Trascina il riquadro per spostarlo, usa le maniglie per ridimensionarlo, eliminalo con la × e annulla i passaggi. Niente viene eliminato finché non applichi.

Posso cercare una parola e oscurarla ovunque?

Non ancora. I riquadri si disegnano a mano, quindi controlla ogni pagina per nomi, numeri o parole da nascondere.
